چکیده
Nowadays, the employment of high-resolution Digital Surface Models (DSMs) and RGB orthophotos has become fundamental in coastal system studies. This work aims to explore potentiality low-cost Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) surveys monitor geomorphic vegetation state sand dunes by means (2–4 cm) DSMs. The area study (Punta Marina, Ravenna, Italy), North Adriatic Sea, was considered very suitable for these purposes because it involves a residual dune system, damaged decades erosion, fragmentation human intervention. Recently, part been involved restoration project aimed at limiting its deterioration. have used calculate spectral information bare therefore, changes their relative cover extension over time, through using semi-automatic classification algorithms GIS environment. Elevation data from DSMs were identify principal morphological features: (i) Dune Foot Line (DFL); (ii) Crest (DCL); seaward (DsCL); Stable Vegetation line (SVL). USGS tool DSAS dynamics, considering every source error: stable pattern observed two crest lines (DCL DsCL), an advancing one others features (DFL SVL). Geomorphological data, as well confirmed effectiveness planting operations, since constant progressive increase vegetated consolidation observed, period with no energetic storms. proposed methodology is rapid, easily replicable managers quantify projects.

Using Long-Term Census Data to Inform Restoration Methods for Coastal Dune Vegetation
Barrier islands are exposed to the wind and wave action from storms, which often disturbs both the geomorphology and vegetation. Conservation and restoration efforts for these important habitats could be improved with knowledge of how native plants respond to storms. We analyzed 10 years of annual data of vegetation of St. George Island, Florida, in the Gulf of Mexico, to quantify how the plant...
متن کاملa study on rate making and required reserves determination in reinsurance market: a simulation
reinsurance is widely recognized as an important instrument in the capital management of an insurance company as well as its risk management tool. this thesis is intended to determine premium rates for different types of reinsurance policies. also, given the fact that the reinsurance coverage of every company depends upon its reserves, so different types of reserves and the method of their calc...
Drought Effects on Vegetation Changes in Kashkan Basin of Lorestan Using ETM + and OLI Landsat Data
Background and objectives: Vegetation is one of the most important elements of an ecosystem, which is directly related to the moisture conditions of the land. Estimation of plant drought indices such as VCI, TCI, VHI is an effective tool to assess the effects of drought by calculating NDVI. In this regard, several studies have been conducted that explain how to calculate and use these indicator...
متن کاملiranian english learners’ perception and personality: a dual approach to investigating influential factors on willingness to communicate
abstract previous studies on willingness to communicate (wtc) have shown the influence of many individual or situational factors on students’ tendency to engage in classroom communication, in which wtc has been viewed either at the trait-level or situational level. however, due to the complexity of the notion of willingness to communicate, the present study suggests that these two strands are ...
Introducing An Efficient Set of High Spatial Resolution Images of Urban Areas to Evaluate Building Detection Algorithms
The present work aims to introduce an efficient set of high spatial resolution (HSR) images in order to more fairly evaluate building detection algorithms. The introduced images are chosen from two recent HSR sensors (QuickBird and GeoEye-1) and based on several challenges of urban areas encountered in building detection such as diversity in building density, building dissociation, building sha...
